The Confederate Constitutions

In this volume, Lee relates the events and decisions of the Montgomery Convention to the political and social loyalties of the framers of the Confederate States' constitution. The political alienation of the South, caused in part by the growing industrialism of the North, is shown to be directly connected to the southern constitutional discontent.
