Carol Seigler, Acquisitions Assistant
I assist Debbie Gershenowitz, Brandon Proia, and Andrew Winters with their work acquiring books for general and scholarly readers in areas such as United States history, histories of power and politics, and cultural histories of race, gender, and class. I collaborate with authors and peer reviewers in the many processes through which manuscripts become books, from manuscript assessment to transmittal into copyediting and production.
I was born a Wolfpack fan in Raleigh, NC, but I have since graduated from the University of North Carolina and am now a “Tar Heel bred,” as they say. I studied English and Comparative Literature with a creative writing concentration, as well as Communication Studies. Prior to joining the Press, I worked as a freelance copywriter and interned at Algonquin Books in Chapel Hill.
