Longleaf Services, Inc., an affiliate of UNC Press, is seeking to fill two paid internship positions immediately. These openings are ideal for students who wish to work only 10-12 hours per week for the current academic year. 

Longleaf provides order processing, collection management, warehousing and fulfillment for UNC Press and 17 other university presses. This position is a terrific behind-the-scenes look at a full-service distribution and fulfillment business. Gain knowledge and experience as you assist our customer service reps with order processing, vendor requests and client support. Gain valuable insight into the operations side of a business and the world of academic publishing.

Located on campus between Franklin St. and the Forest Theater, Brooks Hall is within easy walking or biking distance from main campus, Longleaf Services provides a professional and collegial environment for gaining excellent work experience in business and publishing. Job Requirements

  • Strong computer skills and a solid understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Follows through on commitments and completes assigned tasks
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
