In addition to my scholarly lists, I am interested in general interest books that bring to life our region’s rich musical and literary legacies, specifically books showcasing the art, food, and architecture of North Carolina and the South in new and exciting ways. I’m also building the Press’s list in creative nonfiction, and I acquire books in the academic fields of literary studies, sociology, the history of medicine and social medicine.
I received my B.A. in English from Appalachian State University and my M.F.A. in creative writing, concentrating in fiction, from North Carolina State University.
