Julia María Schiavone Camacho

Julia Mar%C3%ADa Schiavone Camacho is assistant professor of Latin American history and literature and Humanities Division Chair at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She has also taught as Guest Faculty at Sarah Lawrence College, and was formerly an Assistant Professor of History at the University of Texas at El Paso. In addition to Chinese Mexicans: Transpacific Migration and the Search for a Homeland, 1910-1960, she contributed to Orientalism and Identity in Latin American: Fashioning Self and Other from the (Post) Colonial Margin, edited by Erik Camayd-Freixas (University of Arizona Press, 2013), and is the author of short fiction published in literary magazines including The Hopper and The Florida Review.
