Thomas Bedenbaugh, Assistant Editor
I assist Lucas Church and Mark Simpson-Vos with their work acquiring projects in fields such as history, literary studies, religious studies, creative nonfiction, and sociology. I oversee many facets of the acquisitions and production process regarding peer review, scheduling, and manuscript transmittal, and am frequently communicating with our authors and peer reviewers about the projects we are working on.  Â
I attended the University of South Carolina as an undergraduate and a graduate student, earning my MA. in 2021. My graduate research focused on feminist historiography and representations of witchcraft in 20th-century British literature. Before joining the press, I worked as an English instructor at USC and as a freelance music critic. Â
