Chrétien, Troyes, and the Grail

This book presents new and convincing evidence demonstrating the Judeo-Christian themes and allegory of Chrétien de Troys' Conte del Graal. Basing the study on a careful analysis of Chrétien’s milieu as well as on his work itself, the authors seek the essential meaning of the most significant masterpiece of the Middle Ages before Dante.
